'Meaningful changes'
One of the most valuable lessons I've learned is to pause and ask myself is, 'Is this my inner child speaking,or my grown-up self?' That simple question has helped me become much more aware of my emotions and respond more thoughtfully instead of reacting from old wounds.Through our sessions, I've also gained a much deeper understanding of how my childhood experiences,traumas, and shame have shaped the way my brain responds in relationships. Having that knowledge has been incredibly freeing—it has helped me approach myself with compassion instead of criticism. Most importantly, I've been given the space to be myself without feeling guilty or ashamed. I've learned that my feelings matter, that I don't have to hide parts of who I am, and that healthy relationships are built on honesty, understanding, and mutual respect. I'm so grateful for the guidance, empathy, and practical tools we've been given by you. The changes in our relationship have been meaningful, and I know the skills we've learned will continue to benefit us for years to come through hard times and good. I am also trying to employ this new way of feeling and communicating with my boys, to encourage them to understand their feelings and communicate openly.

'Gained perspective' and 'made a significant shift'
It was clear from the start of attending therapy with Carole, that she was highly experienced, patient, and professional. Carole also supported my daughter and I to tap into our Christian faith, both inside the counselling sessions and in times apart. I was able to freely discuss all aspects of my life including my walk with God. "Carole was just the right counsellor for me. She related immediately and compassionately to my needs and used a number of approaches which helped me move in a very few sessions from hopeless despair to hope and peace. She gave me the space to identify deep hurts and to identify the roots of deep issues. I was able to recognise and acknowledge deep pain and trauma. She asked perceptive questions which she’d light and gave me permission to take responsibility. She also introduced me to the concept of self care and Human Givens. Working on these gives me life changing tools for the future. Most helpful was the prayerfully led guided imagery and also the use of the rewind technique. These sessions were instantly transformational in letting go of the past and finding profound peace. I can’t recommend Carole highly enough."
